Messing Around in PSE

I've been spending some time recently learning how to edit my photos using more than just "the basics" in Photoshop Elements (I have version 9). It's been a lot of fun! I'm really enjoying this. Maybe someday I will become skillful enough that people will want me to take their pictures. This is my niece Katie. Here is the before and after. Do you see how I smoothed out her skin and took out that redness that so many newborns have? I know this isn't perfect, and I'm positive there would be an even better way to edit, but it's a start.
