We participated in the Seafair festivities with Papa, Grandma, & Uncle Ryan today. We braved the mass of boaters, (most of them with beer in hand mind you) and the power-tripping Coast Guard officers to see the Blue Angels perform over Lake Washington. After an hour late start, and almost tossing our cookies over the side of the boat the water was so choppy, we finally got our thrill! Twice, we were lucky enough to have the jets fly right over the top of us, only about 30-40 yards above us (it was really close)! The sound is deafening, and it was amazing. Austin donned his "ear protectors" since he's not a huge fan of loud noises and Anne Elyse hid under her blanket. Tyler was pretty quiet the whole time. He slept for about an hour before the show, and then when he heard the jet engines roar, he woke right up. He was pretty mellow though. I think he was seasick!

I have some fun memories of Seafair!
Looks like you guys had a great view. We watched from Magnuson Park. After 15 minutes the kids were bored, so we continued our bike ride. I think we were just too far away to really enjoy it.
What a great time! Just so you know....Alec asks about Austin literally 7-8 times a day. He was so nice to play with Alec at our 4th of July party....and Alec definitely remembers how much fun he had playing with Austin. :)
You guys are having so much fun this summer! Love Tyler's pic under the blankie:)
did you take those pictures. they are beautiful!!
There was a girl visiting our ward yesterday from Washington that I leaned over to someone next to me and said, don't you think that could be Katrina's sister? She looked just like you! Can't remember her name, but anyways it felt like you were back, for a second, or your twin was anyways. We miss you here! Glad to see everything is going well for you there!
